Imagery should always have a message, to explain what it is you do, and why you do it. The reason why is typically harder for customers to imagine on their own. A picture is worth 1000 words, after all. #BizChatAL

The color selection usually has a lot to do with messages and interest, for example purple is a color of luxury, and green is soothing. However, let's look at the Mountain Lakes Chamber logo: It features the colors of dark green, light green, aqua blue, and white. These colors are Natural, and show that the staff is calm, cool, and collected, and they would be a natural choice for new business owners to become a part of. The circle could represent loyalty to members and the surrounding area, also a cycle of business between the chamber and their members. #BizChatAL

Certain colors and shapes can be extremely memorable. for example, Home Depot's Logo is an orange square with white lettering. It immodestly reminds me to pick up an orange flag when I'm picking up lumber. Also, can't forget those golden arches, makes me hungry for French fries. #BizChatAL

An example of a busy logo would be a chandelier, or several photos mashed together for compilation photo, even a full serpentine dragon. Now for these examples I would recommend switching up the chandelier for something else just as fancy, skipping on the compilation photo,  unless your using it as a cover photo, and keep it down to no more than 10 pictures, plus your company's name, boldly in front, and maybe just use the head of the dragon, with your info to the side.

I would also recommend staying away from more than three colors, it might clash your message.#BizChatAL

Look at Experience Mixxology's logo, the purple represents luxury, the gold / yellow grabs your attention, but also shows joy, curiosity, and warmth, and the black shows class, it is distinctive and serious. combined it shows a classy DJ service that has luxurious standards. The circle encapsulates the idea of loyalty to clients, also reminiscent of a record disk, so it keeps a DJ theme.

The cyan blue in the cover photo shows trust between myself and my clients. The checked pattern represents a light panel of sorts, again keeping with DJ theme. #BizChatAL

A logo should have a symbol or shape of some sort to produce feeling of interest, and potential business. A circle could represent loyalty, or cycle of business. A square could mean equality. A triangle could mean that mean that the business is well supported. #BizChatAL

Thank you, Travis!
