Russell Cave National Monument – Jackson County, Ala.
Located in Bridgeport, Russell Cave is one of three national monuments located in the whole state of Alabama. Found at the end of a 12-mile hiking trail, surrounded by 310 acres of pristine woodlands, guests are invited to take a guided tour from the on-site National Park Rangers.
With more caves per square mile than any county in America, cave travelers from around the world come to visit Jackson County’s other 3,500 charted cave system, to accompany their stop at Russell Cave.
Admission is free, along with one of their many complimentary educational events that take place throughout the year.
