Effectively serving as the leading advocate and “Voice of Business” for Jackson County. We accomplish this through proactive support of policies that encourage growth and promote an environment in which business can prosper. Each year the Chamber compiles the Federal, State and Local Agendas addressing matters important to Jackson County. We travel annually to Washington, D.C. and Montgomery to speak with our elected officials regarding local business concerns. Members are invited and encouraged to participate and attend.

Chamber members and their employees, business owner, or an employee’s immediate family member can receive a 20% tuition discount for Northeast Alabama Community College. Athens State provides a 10% tuition discount plus waived application fees on all classes, including certificates, adult degree completion, and graduate degrees, for all members of the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce and their immediate families. AirMedCare also provides a significant discount to Chamber members.
